Repost rule...

hard to say. ppl come and ppl go... what the night crew on monday gets to see might not be seen by the wednesday morning crew.

so, i would go for a week or two.

There is no rule, not like anyone would follow it anyways.

In their eyes you are either posting a repost, or bumping a dead thread.

edit: if anything it's 3 months from the last post in the thread, that's the time they get archived.

When you can no longer post to the first and/or latest thread, you may create a new one.

If you still can post to another thread, bump it instead and add your thoughts.

If it was previously posted within living memory of anyone on the internet, someone here will tell you about it, possibley while questioning your sanity and your manhood, you crazyghey reposter, you.

It ain't a fvckin' repost without a link to the original. Anybody who fails to come up with that link, yet has the gall to yip about a repost, can suck it! :|

Except in situations where the content is something that has been posted on every forum in the world at least 5 times.

examples: "OMG TEH WHALE IZ EXPLODED!!! (video!)", "SWEET! GUY BEATS MARIO 3 IN 12 MINS!", "411 y0u|2 8453 4|23 8310n6 70 u5!! lolol"

If you're gonna start a thread about a certain topic and are worried it may have already been discussed, you should be doing a quick search first, anyway. At least that's how it is on most forums. But if it's a couple months old and buried, especially in a large forum where there is a large post rate, it's prolly OK to start a new one. That's just my buck, two-fifty on it. 😛
