My girlfriend just got home from work, and casually told me that a co-workers' daughter's friend has an interesting little tidbit of information.
She was dating an Arab gent out in Toronto up until the start of last month. Five days before the bombing, he disappeared. She found a letter from him several days later saying that he loved her and told her to take care of herself. He wouldn't be coming back, and that something would happen on Sept 11 and to "stay out of the malls" on Oct 31.

Don't know if this is just one of those things that changes 1000 times along the way, or what, but it wouldn't hurt to be safe I suppose. I'm assuming she's obviously talked to the authorities several times.

E-mail urban legends... Your girlfriend's co-worker's daughter's friend just read word from word from a widely circulated E-mail.

Dude!

Please tell your girlfriend to go back to work and tell everyone this an urban legend. We don't need more mass hysteria.

Hehe, thought it sounded a little "too true to be true". :)
Ok, I'll close this sucker down then.

No, no, no. You have it all wrong. The guy didn't show up for a date and she was understandably upset then got the letter in the mail!
