Having consumed several other diet drinks sweetened with Splenda, such as diet Arizona Ice Tea, I know that drinks sweetened with this sugar substitute can do better.
That said, Splenda may just not work well for sweeting cola products. The new Diet Coke tastes a lot like Diet Rite, which is also using Splenda as a sweetener. It also tastes odd.
The makers of Pepsi might have already discovered this, which is why they are looking at another artificial sweetener: tagatose.
