how the heck did Lakeshore make the playoffs without winning one game? Must have been one of those things where every team makes it.

they may have lost their pride, but they get some free publicity (if thats any consolation).

I'd say 115 - 2 is better than 131 - 30...

2 points...1 basketball or 2 free-throws...
I feel sorry for the losing girls team.

yeah, no sh!t....how did they score only 2? They could have probably bombed long 3's all night and madef at least 10 or so...I'm sure at some point the opposing defense would have given a free shot to them outside the arc...sheesh.

In Michigan all teams make the playoffs regardless of record.

The 2 points was a basket scored in the 3rd quarter to cut the deficit to 62 points (64-2)

It's the new way to make sure there are no 'losers' anymore. Now everyone wins!

Kind of like the whole, get rid of dodge ball thing....

The girls team at my high school put up a shutout once(64-0 if i remember correctly). It was just awful to watch, the other team only got it past half court a few times in the second half. The other team was in horrible shape and didn't even really try. It was a pathetic game to witness.

Basketball.... Mmmmm.... I used to play it all the time back in my coountry...
Tournamnts... Never had a serios injury...

When I came here, I twisted my ancles 5 times, had a crack in my left rist.
But the worst thing happened 3 years ago when a guy accidently hit me
in the knee.... That was the end of my sctive sports life... No basketball, socker,
volleybal, tennis.. Not even ping pong.. :(
Luckly, I can still work out, though..

And now.. One brighter side :) I remember winning 103:35. They only had a chance to
score from 3-point line, since we gave them no chance to get any closer. That was
the funniest game I have ever played :) :) :)
The best game was a game for the first place between us and 2nd school. That was
worth showing on TV :)

The weiredest thing was the actual awards. Among all of the schools from our
county 3 schools from our town took all the medals:

..............Boys..................Girls

Gold:......1st school............1st school
Silver:.....2nd school............2nd school
Bronze:...3rd school............3rd school

Never happened like that before... Never after... :)

I've been on the recieving end of that kind of schwacking. When I was in junior high I played JV for a small private school. Our JV was just grades 7-9 and grades 10-12 were varsity. One time we played a big school whose JV was basically their people who didn't make the varsity team. They had at least six inches of height and about 20+ pounds on us at every position, plus several extra years of experience. By extraordinary luck we managed to survive without getting injured (they played rough and could afford to foul a few people out), but got steamrolled about 60-12. I ended up scoring 8 of the points and getting 2 assists, but it was really like a high school team playing the Lakers. It sucks, but you get over it. I can sympathize, but, hey, if you're outclassed just take your lumps and move on. Don't blame the other team for being better. Life isn't fair. Acknowlege, move on.
