lol. I'm surprised the guy didn't start swearing. "I'm sick of guys like you"

And btw, what was the reporter thinking? He just destroys something the guy had been working on for over 8 hours and the first thing he does is say "I'm so sorry" and then shoves the mic into the guys face.

Yea, I think it's staged. There was another one, Of a ginormous(world record attempt) leaning tower of Pisa in Jenga blocks that a reporter "knocked over". I don't believe it.

Thought it was fake. 8 Hours on a small ice sculpture?

Yeah it has got to be staged.

No ice sculpture would take 8 hours - well... not THAT kind of ice sculpture.
Magnificent, massively towering works of art that span tens if not hundreds of cubic yards/meters, yes. That little thing?

I watched a guy on a cruise ship make a beautiful sculpture of an eagle with wings spread wide in about 20 minutes, if that.

Even in a sealed room at normal room temperature, 8 hours half the block would be gone (if not the entire thing) - all the details of one section would be gone before the next section was finished.

The dude just takes his hand off it before it falls, no way this isn't staged.

Obviously staged, the ice sculpture guy just wants his 15 minutes of fame to go viral.

1. No way that sculpture took 8 hours, it's not even in the shape of anything yet and it's small.
2. He takes his hand away just before the reporter pushes it, and it didn't look accidental at all.

Staged or not, it's still juvenile, distasteful, and idiotic by any measure.
Why would you even risk your image on live television by doing a prank that stupid?
