I think everyone got off pretty easy considering it was a 6.8 quake. Good thing it wasn't on the Seattle Fault Line.
Since this is Anandtech, I'll just report computer damage.
One IDE Hard Drive gone.
One PlexWriter 12x4x32 SCSI gone.
One H+ card gone.
One 15" Trinitron gone.
The HDD and CDRW were both in use at the time. I can understand the head crashing on the HDD, but the CDRW surprised me. It was in the middle of burning a CDRW at the time and now it won't recognize most discs and if I try to burn anything, the whole computer freezes. I'm still fiddling with it though.
The H+ card was on a table and a picture fell on it.
The monitor was on the floor and something fell on it from a top shelf, cracking the case open.
Other than that, just a whole lot of broken cd cases.
House is about ten miles from the epicenter on the edge of Tacoma.
