In rollover tests, the Ford Ranger and the Mazda B-Series fared worst among a list of pickups with four-wheel drive. The trucks received two out of five stars and had a 30.6 percent chance of rollover, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I'd be more worried about that...

I guess I won't be crashing into any brick walls anytime soon. Beside if I had a Silverado and hit a compact car, there is no way the Silverado can lose.

Bad news just keep coming for GM...

And since when is DRL an advertised safety feature? You have to be pretty desperate to pull that one...

Well at least Dodge has learned from their mistakes. A few years back they got rock bottom ratings in head-on collisions because their crumple zones didn't crumple.

"Each and every vehicle that we sell to the public, without fail, meets or exceeds the federal safety standard," Barnes said.
Hmmm, maybe that has something to do with the fact that if it doesn't meet or exceed the federal safety standard, you CAN'T sell it to the public?

What's scary is that they only conduct those tests at 35mph...yikes.

I would say that GM has stood by and watched other carmakers improve their scores.

The moral of the story... don't crash your truck.

or, if you do crash, cushion it against Civics, or NFS4's Camry.

Isn't GM's product the oldest in the product cycle? Everyone else has something newer out since last year IIRC...

but damn that new honda pickup is one ugly truck.

not as ugly as your mom.

seriously though, i dont think the ridgeline will be selling to traditional truck buyers. how many texans and midwesterners are going to buy a japanese car, even if it turns out to be much better than american trucks? if its a success, its because people who dont normally buy trucks get them.
then again, how do i explain the success of the nissan titan? i think i just killed my whole point.

Titan is not really a success. It will be a success slowly, but right now it is selling 7-8 thousand of them a month.

Each month they sell more than the previous month.
I'll give this car a good year until we see 100-150k units sold a year. Exactly where Nissan wants the Titan to be.

The real question is what moron is going to buy that ugly ass POS. I mean with R & D team let that design out the door.
