In rollover tests, the Ford Ranger and the Mazda B-Series fared worst among a list of pickups with four-wheel drive. The trucks received two out of five stars and had a 30.6 percent chance of rollover, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Well at least Dodge has learned from their mistakes. A few years back they got rock bottom ratings in head-on collisions because their crumple zones didn't crumple.

seriously though, i dont think the ridgeline will be selling to traditional truck buyers. how many texans and midwesterners are going to buy a japanese car, even if it turns out to be much better than american trucks? if its a success, its because people who dont normally buy trucks get them.
then again, how do i explain the success of the nissan titan? i think i just killed my whole point.

Titan is not really a success. It will be a success slowly, but right now it is selling 7-8 thousand of them a month.

Each month they sell more than the previous month.
I'll give this car a good year until we see 100-150k units sold a year. Exactly where Nissan wants the Titan to be.
