Cliffs:
Hindus in India put dead bodies in the Ganges.
Some of these people had CJD.
Bones are later crushed and used for cattle feed in Britain.
Cows become infected from the human bones that had CJD.

Mmm.... actually I think the cattle farmers are to blame. The leftovers of the slaughter that can't be used for anything else, like the brains, are dried and ground and fed back to the cows.

I saw a PBS special where hundreds of people were bathing in the Ganges just a few hundred meters downstream from a huge pipe dumping raw sewage.

That's the theory with how it continues to spread, but that doesn't explain the genesis of the disease.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I imagine those bathers have amazing immune systems.

WTF? If this report is true, I can blame the U.S. for giving us the crappiest water in the world (that should be a hint, if you have been watching the news, as to where I live).

Can't eat chicken because of avian flu. Cow = mad indian disease. Pig = ? I know it's only time until they find something wrong with our bovine friend.
I think we need a whole new source for our meat. Any suggestion? dog? cat? rat? kangaroo? emu? orstrich? llmala?

Just curious, any reason it says Hindus and not just Indians? There are other religions there...

Not a big deal, just wondering!

You obviously never been to a Indian independence day festival in Toronto, its strictly a Hindu affair, so the assumption is justified imho

The Ganges is totally disgusting.

That is all.

Hindus cremate bodies. The ashes might be scattered in the Ganga.

At least, get your facts right.
