ReplayTV or TiVo, Which one is better? What are the pros and cons, I am seriously thinking about getting either. Also where can I get a good deal on either.

Replay TV does not require a monthly subscription to their service while TiVo does. TiVo tends to be a bit cheaper ... and I hear TiVo can be upgraded (or hacked so it can store more). It's really what you prefer. You might want to try the IWANNA thread because this thread will be locked sooner or later.

i'm getting the replaytv, unfortunately i missed the msn/mercata deal, waiting for another hot deal on it. want thee replay because there is no monthly fee and it has the quick skip feature because i detest commercials. here's a link for replaytv site

Tivo is the better of the two. Soon you will be able to buy a tv recorder for your cpu and ya won't have to pay a stupid monthly charge.

If you act within an hour you can buy the ReplayTV 3060 for $373 after rebate.

I like TiVo better, a lifetime subscription is $200 if you're willing to pay up front. The HD inside is a quantam.

I used to work at an electronics store about 2 blocks away from quantem. Some workers came in and I was talking to them about it and they said you can pretty much change the HD, you just have to copy the contents of the existing on over. Don't know how you would do it though.
