I don't think so, I think you need two tuners but the ReplayTV only has one.

I would prefer DirecTV but as part of our lease they cannot drill any holes into the property or wooden deck. The only other choice is to mount it on a post/stick which doesn't seem that secure to me. If that can be done, I would prefer DirecTIVO over ReplayTV & Cable.

My lease is the same, My Directv dish is mounted to a 4x4 I put up myself. I have had it over a year and have never had a problem. I get my Directivo tomorrow 😀

try splitting the cable before it goes into your cable box...hook one into the cable box, and the other going straight to your tv (assuming you have more than one tuner on your tv). that way i can record from one channel and watch another 🙂

if the signal is not strong enough, try using an amplifier

didn't really see any at radio shack, but basically you're looking for something that you plug 1 input into, and get 2 outputs...most amplifiers require their own power...I recommend getting one that needs to be plugged in because in general you can boost the signal much better this way with less distortion.
