Nice to play with everything turned up...

Mouse was acting funny, had to turn up the control on my G9x all the way to eliminate mouse jitter...

Anyone else have that issue?

Have the 1.4 patch, playing on W7...

Now I want to replay Quake 4 again. Just finished replaying Doom 3. Next up, Prey.

I miss the non war-based shooters.

"Mouse jitter" is kinda vague, but a quick search suggests setting your mouse reporting rate to 125Hz.

That's the opposite of what I suggested. 125Hz is the lowest setting for report rate (at least on my G9) and I'm not talking about sensitivity/acceleration.

I'm talking about the LED indicator on the top, I hit the + button til only one light is showing on the high side, that seemed to take care of it...

What are you talking about?

Thanks...

At the risk of repeating myself, that's sensitivity, what I was not saying to change.

Reporting rate is the number of times per second the mouse communicates with the computer to update position. It's changed in SetPoint options. Quake 4 reportedly has issues with rates above 125Hz, and SetPoint defaults to 500 I believe.

Never played much of Q4, should also try again. My system way back then played it, but it was rather jittery with FPS falling into the 20's often. Perhaps after I finish my SR2 replay.
