Replay vs Tivo? Which is better and why?

I'm in the market to for a PVR. I don't know which platform is better or worst. How about if either is better to be compatible with DirecTV? Is one of the to better to hack? Change out the HD? Any form of info would be greatly appreciated.

TIVO is the best... I dont know about the lastest versions, but they are fairly easy to hack.. if your technically inclined. You can hack the Tivo to record HDTV also... ithink.

To my knowledge, you cannot pull files onto your computer with TiVo. Thanks to ReplayPC and other goodies, ReplayTV gives you a world of options. Aside from living competely digital and not having to deal with VHS tapes, being able to pull shows off of my PVR to a PC (making own DVDs and such) is the killer feature I'm waiting for.

And when will any of these units finally start playing MP3s via the network ...
