Replacing Wifi on Asus Maximux X Hero Wifi-AC

Hi Guys,

I currently have Asus Maximux X Hero Wifi-AC board, and i would like to replace the wifi module.

any guidance?

I already bought from ebay intel 9260.

i've seen that there's also 9560 module.


does the 9260 will be fitted in my board? if not, any adapter?

please advise
 
The 9260 should be fine. AFAIK, ASUS doesn't have a wifi card whitelist in their BIOS like other brands (mostly with laptops) do.

as i said, i want only the new one..which means 9260 OR 9560, they are both the same, just different connecotors.

all i wish to know which exactly ,because I already bought 9260.
 
yes I bought that one, 9260.

the thing i was frightented of, is that the new Z390 Maximus XI hero, is 9560, which is basically a refresh.
 
so.. the bet was succesful. installed and happy to report everything working
