replacing TV, need suggestions.

I currently have a Mitsubishi 57 inch DLP, that’s over 5 years old. It’s been having some issues with brightness and the colors don’t pop like they use to. I’ve changed out the lamp and still having the issue, so I’m thinking it’s time to replace it with something newer. I play a lot of games, and that’s my major concern. If it can handle the xbox and ps3 then I’m sure it’ll handle movies and TV without issue.. unless I’m wrong. I haven’t really looked at TVs for 5 years. Do Plasmas still burn in images? Are LCDs fast enough to not blur like they use to? I’m willing to spend around $2000 for it.. any suggestions?
