Replacing stereo system - help me pick!

I'm debating between two nav units, help me pick!

Jensen VX7020: http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-VX7020...TF8&qid=1432078183&sr=8-2&keywords=jensen+nav

Pioneer sphda120: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-SPHDA...id=1432078268&sr=8-1&keywords=pioneer+carplay

The Jensen's half the price and the gps doesn't require a tethered phone (the pioneer is carplay/mirrorlink compatible), but it's Jensen.. With the money I save on the Jensen I could get some speakers, but are they really as horrible as I remembe?R

I have a 2 Din pioneer unit in my truck with DVD / USB / bluetooth / etc etc etc. My only complaint is that it's a bit slow to load up from the SD card I use (8 gigs of songs may be why). The screen lighting is also way too bright and non-dimmable so that when I switch into reverse and the backup camera pops up it is blinding.

Those are minor complaints though considering. It's been great for the 5 years I've had it. YMMV

This one looks identical to mine:

Edit: In fact it came out in 2010, so I think that's the exact one.

I wouldn't take a Jensen if it was free...
On a side note, if you want navigation, a stand alone GPS is usually better.

i have a pioneer avhx-2600bt and it is awesome. its not navi but thats ok, i use my phone for that anyway. the one you listed from pioneer isnt really a stereo, its an extension of your phone without a way to play DVDs is you wanted to. its appradio4, which is an iphone thing only so far

im not a fan of jensen, but ive heard from others that they werent horrible decks now.

Like all things, you get what you pay for. There's a reason it's half the price.

And I seriously doubt Jensen ever improved their quality over the years when many of the top end car audio companies have dipped in quality to make their stuff more affordable.

I hear you, but I hate having wires everywhere and always had awful luck with those suction cup gps mount things.

Re: jensen, I thought they were pretty much a licensed name that just resells generic chinese stuff, some good some bad.. You guys are right though, upping my budget for a kenwood deck that's somewhere in the middle price wise
