Replacing Pavilion N5190 HD

I'm a pc builder just like anyone is, but haven't had hardly ANY experience replacing laptop HD's. My friend's went bad in his Pavilion (it's a few years old) and looking up the specs, I see he needs a 9.5 mm 2.5" HD. HP's site says UDMA/33 is supported, but all the new ones I see listed are ultra ATA-4, ultra ATA-5 or other strange things I don't really recognize. What will work?

Since I'm a laptop newbie, I'd love some help here. Thanks much~

Yes, the newer HD will work just fine. As with any ATA devices, thet are backwards compatible. Your biggest problem, however, will be the replacement process itself. I used to own N5125 and it was a pain the a$$

well at least I know it will work... not encouraging, but wish me luck =] thanks for the info.

any installation tips? or am I better off taking it somewhere and having my buddy pay the $30 or whatever for someone else to do it?
