Replacing my Dead ECS K7S5A, recommendations?

Ok, so my ECS K7S5A just died this week, and I need a new motherboard. It needs to have DDR, and I have a 1200mhz thunderbird(266mhz bus).

I will not be overclocking, or using a RAID.

Primary importance is Stability and Reliability.
With speed and price being second(I'd spend $10 for a real difference in speed, but not $40)

My thoughts were either to replace it with another ECS K7S5A(anyone know if ECS RMA will cross ship quickly?), or replace it with something better, i.e. I was looking at maybe a KT266a....ideas?

Thanks,

Orie

The Shuttle AK35GTR is only 88$@Newegg and it has good features and performance for the price.

yeah, me courius too,.. how long your K7S5A lasts?... mine has already missed one capasitor (totally burnt out for unknown reason). I'm thinking that I would need new mobo cause I suspect it will last soon like you have.

I like the Epox 8KHA+, myself. Good, reliable board. As for the Epox KT333 solution, I've heard mixed things about it. It's only a marginal performance difference, so why not go with something a little more tried and true?

Asus and Abit make nice boards too, but I think half of the over inflated price on em is just the name.

you don't :( ECS dosen't seem to honor RMAs from end users so you SOOL! Buy a new MOBO and chalk it up to bad luck ;)
