Replacing my chipset cooler on a Gigabyte 8IHXP v2 MB

I need to replace my chipset cooler on a Gigabyte 8IHXP v2 Motherboard. I only want to replace the fan with thisone. It has a 2pin header. Can I get away with just changing the fan and not bothering with the heatsink?
