I am putting in a new motherboard on an old HP I have but XP is preinstalled so I have no disk. Will the OS work or is there something I can do to make it work.
If the new motherboard is an exact replacement for the old one, you will have no problem. If it just uses the same chip set as the old one you will still be OK, although you will have to install new motherboard/chip set drivers. If you have a different chip set, you will likely have to reinstall Windows.
