Replacing motherboard - any tips from those that have done it?

My new board has arrived and I will be installing it this weekend. I am replacing my P2B/PII400 with an Epox 8KTA+/Duron700. I would prefer not to reformat my HD so I am going to try to delete the ENUM registry key as some of you suggested.

This job is a first for me. Any other things I should prepare for? Any tips to make the operation go smoothly?

I replaced my old socket 7 (not even super) board with a KT7, all I did was remove all the drivers for the old board, put in the new one and stuck in the CD when windoze detected the new board.

I don't know about any registry key, but you're welcome to do it if you want.

I replaced my Asus P3V4X for a MSI K7 PRO (with all new components as well). Didn´t even remove drivers or anything, just swapped boards.

you can even plug everything up, boot to dos and run setup again and install over the current setup and it won't erase any program and properly removes all the drivers you don't need and add the ones you do need.. and if you don't want to take the risk, get ghost and make a image before you do so you can restore everything if you dont like the way you installed it..
