Forgive me if I sound too much like a newbie but I have a question about retail AMD XP's. I recently bought a 2000+ retail and I was wondering if it was possible I could change the hsf. I don't want to replace the heatsink I just want to install a quiet 80mm fan along with a 80 -> 60MM adapter. Will this void the warranty or do I have to use the stock fan? Thanks!

You won't void the warranty unless you try unlocking the multiplier and physically messing with the processor. A different fan or heat sink as long as it keeps the cpu cool is Ok or at least within AMD's specs.
