I have i2500K based system with GTX 560 Ti card. I am able to run BF3 and Diablo 3 in close to max settings.
My monitor's max resolution is 1920 X 1200 - which is what I run all my games in.
My motherboard also supports SLI.
I am thinking of upgrading a videocard. What good cards are there at the 200-250 range?
Will the new card outperform dual 560Ti in SLI?

Thanks.

Does that 200-250 range include the money you would get from selling the 560ti?

If yes, then you won't find anything in that price range that would be a clear cut upgrade for you. If no, then you can sell that 560ti for around $170 ish maybe and then you will be in the $400 range - in which case I would say grab a GTX 670.

Best bet is to sell the 560ti,up the budget and purchase a gtx670,the 7850 being the best card at $250 or less even if overclocked will be only a moderate upgrade and sli 560ti cards will be held back in BF3 even if you attempt to up the settings cause of the 1gb vram.

Honestly, the upgrade from a GTX 560ti to a 7850 isn't going to be huge. The newest generation of GPUs has extremely bad price/performance for a new node.

I think a 560ti SLI performs very closely to a 670 OC or 680.

I would sell the 560ti and go for a 670 if I were in your shoes and had the upgrade itch.

The issue being mostly price right now.

I have seen the 7950 dipping to 300 AR lately. I would not upgrade to anything less than that from a 560ti.

You are basically at near 570 performance. So your only true upgrade options IMO are 7950, 670, 7970, 680.

I think you should stick with your 560ti for a bit longer. These cards just are not a huge jump from your current performance. The only way I see you are able to get a decent value is to sell your card and look for a 7970 in FS.

A GTX 670 is about 50% faster than a GTX 570, a GTX 570 is a little bit faster than a GTX 560 Ti, so GTX 560 Ti SLI would probably outperform a GTX 670 in many cases, whilst loosing in other cases. The biggest problem with the GTX 560 Ti is it's 1GB Vram. Another GTX 560 Ti, if you could get it for cheap, would be a nice upgrade, as long as your not hindered from the 1GB Texture mem.

For OP there is only one real choice in my opinion, the GTX 670. Since he already has Nvidia and are used to it, I would not recommend switching to the red team.

Thanks for the info. I think I will be sticking with a single 560Ti for a bit longer, even though I planned to go SLI back in December.

The GTX 560ti is still a great card. My 6870 is slower than your 560ti and I haven't seen anything in the ~$300 range that interests me.
