Replacing Gateway Mobo / how to?

Well,
In the few years that I've had this other Gateway machine, the mobo has gone out TWICE in it. And now I'm 3 months out of the warrenty. Mobo wont POST, power supply is good.

But how the heck do I find a replacement mobo for this 'older' rig? Not looking to upgrade the whole machine, just replace the mobo and use the existing CPU/RAM etc.

Its a Gateway Athlon T-bird 750mhz, slot-A board. Jabil 'Kadoka' mfgr.
Heres the board: null

I would idealy just like to find a used mobo that will fit this spec, but I have now idea what brand/mfgr to look for. Can anyone help me on this??!!

Thanks group for the help.

I would check pricewatch under motherboards, AMD 750 chipset if you must use your old cpu. You might have to downgrade in size to a micro atx mobo to fit in your gateway case. Your board looks like a cross between regular atx and micro atx. I would also change to a stronger power supply. Your old one may have been a contributing factor in the mobo failures. Newegg sometimes has a refurb 350 watt for only $7 shipped. Buyextremegear.com has a turbolink 420 watt for only $20 plus shipping last time I checked.

I have one of those POS mobo's myself. But as I recall it's a standard ATX format, so any board that will physically fit in your case should work fine. However you may need to also update your power supply to handle a newer mobo/chip!

I'd do some checking before you try to replace the PSU; I recently tried to replace the PSU in a Gateway P2 266MHz system, with an Antec True430, and it would not fit, too wide for the narrow weird-size Gateway case. So I used the PSU in a new AMD system instead. I'll get around to fiddling with the old Gateway again sometime....

Can someone explain something?

I picked up a new FIC SD-11 for $31.00.... compatible with older 750mhz Tbird Athlon.

Doesn't come with drivers, manual etc so I headed to the site.

For starters I dont see the AGP driver set for Windows XP. 95/98/98SE/2000 only (actually on all they're drivers). Is this board compatible with XP?

And do I just yank out the old mobo, stick in the new one, plug everything in then install the BIOS?
I'm just a little confused on what the next step is after hooking everything up.

And I want to thank all of you for the info above, it was very helpfull!
