Replacing fans on the Antec 900

Yesterday while trying to open the panels on the front to clean the dust filter in the front of the hard disk trays, I accidently pulled too hard and caused the fan wire to cut. Now I am looking for replacement fans. I see these fans have 2 connectors one to the power, and one to the fan controller. How do I remove that controller cable so I can remove this fan and put in another one. Also is there a way to use the fan controller on third party fans without soldering or something?

I meant fan. I just found a set of 3 fans for 10 bucks, thats why I thought I will swap them all out if it was easy.

I did get this Cougar Solution case from Tigerdirect on a whim. Is it worth using?

Replaced all three of the front fans with Artic Cool AF12025 PWM fans long ago in my old, original Antec 1200, they have been kicking along well for years, and a lot quieter than stock.

Have Noctua's on the CPU cooler and the exit fans, the only thing stock on that is the top 200 MM.

Have the three daisy chained to one onboard MOBO fan set of pins.

Not sure if they are made even these days, but I imagine there are other PWM fans that would work fine with just one MOBO connection.

Gone on the egg at any rate, something PWM you could daisy chain to the board and do em all though.

Looking around a bit here.

*edit* I'll get this post cleaned up yet 🙂 PST, this was what I was looking for so you could daisy chain them.

Just for a front intake I recommend them, mine have been running many years non stop much better than the original stock fans were.

They function fine even not on a PWM connector.
