I picked up this Toshiba Satellite L25-1194 last Black Friday @ Best Buy. I would like to replace the stock DVD Drive with a DVD Burner.
I've removed the screw on the bottom that secures the DVD-ROM drive, but I can't get the DVD drive to slide out. I called Toshiba and they stated since it was still under warranty to take it to a service center (which there are none located anywhere near me). They stated Best Buy could do this for me, but yet when I call them they state it will have to be shipped off to Toshiba. 🙁 Toshiba claimed they had "no idea" where the other screw was, that was a service center question...
I DO NOT care about the warranty, I just want to install this drive. I've searched the manual and it doesn't have directions. I found another site with other Toshiba laptop diagrams and attempted to remove the keyboard in hopes of finding another screw. That didn't work out too well (took me 20 mins to get DEL key back on, lol).
Any chance someone is familiar with this layout and could possibly lend some assistance? I really don't want to ship the PC off, but I will if I certainly have to...
