replacing cpu in dell laptop

I am quite handy with desktop systems but have never done any work on laptops. i'd like to replace the cpu on the Latitude CPt S-Series laptop. according to the dell site, the laptop has the Intel Mobile 440BX AGPset System chip set. Would replacing the cpu be a tough job? I am still doing research but it seems the top cpu for the board would be p3 1ghz. Is that correct?
