Replacing bike barrel adjuster on rear derailer?

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement one? I have Shimano Alivio, and the barrel adjuster is plastic, so it got worn out and doesn't hold position anymore. Can I replace it with a metal one or where do I find a replacement plastic one?
 
Try your local shop - I don't know that replacement small parts for groups as low as Alivio are regularly stocked, however. In a pinch you can use this as an excuse to upgrade to a better part - you will see a meaningful, if not drastic, improvement in shifting by upgrading to LX or better.
