Replacing batteries in a MX700?

My Logitech MX700 cordless mouse has not been holding its charge lately, and I tried looking on Logitech's site as well as searching at Google for replacement batteries, but with no luck.

I have been recharging for 5 minutes at a time when it got low, during WoW marathons, and I think I ruined the batteries by doing this.

It holds 2 generic rechargeable AA batteries, so can I just look for and buy and the same type anywhere like Radio Shack, or do I need to get special ones somewhere? Any links would be appreciated.

This is what it uses . . ."Two rechargeable AA 1700 mAh Ni-MH batteries are included with the Mx700. Just insert them into the mouse and set the mouse in the RF base for charging. According to Logitech, 15 minutes of charging should last for a days worth of normal use while a full charge lasts up to 10 days of normal use. We recommend charging the MX700 for a full 6 hours before using it to get a full and long lasting charge."

So - go out and buy some new NiMH rechargeables. The 1700 mAh are pretty low these days. You can get Eveready 2500 mAh anywhere. They will work beautifully.

BTW - NiMH batteries do wear out, so replacement is normal.
