PSU is making some odd oscillating sounds intermittently so I assume it's on the way out.

Need to replace it for my desktop (work) computer.

Any suggestions for something of good value (price, stable, quiet)?

How long have you had the PSU? Might want to give us a buzz first and see if we can't do a warranty replacement for you. There's no need to spend the cash if you don't need to.
