Replacing Antec case fan

[Achtung]

Hi, I have an Antec case, I believe the SX-630, and I'm trying to replace the system fan with a Panaflo one. However, I'm not sure how to connect it properly. I don't have much knowledge of fans, but with my Panaflo fan, the only connector I got was a thin wire with a small three-pin connector. But my current Antec fan has a more traditional four-slot connector, which is much bigger. Sorry I don't have the proper names for these types of connectors, but hopefully someone knows what I mean.

Oh and I already connected one fan to the system fan connector on the motherboard. That's a new fan I am adding. But its the Antec one that I want to replace, mainly because its noisy.

If the three pin fan headers on the mobo are all filled up, then you'll need a four pin to three pin adapter, like this--

These are available locally, too, at places like radio shack, compUSA, etc..

But! Check your motherboard first to see if there are any connectors that you can use. I would rather use the mobo connectors than take up one from the PSU directly. What mobo do you have?

Depending on the RPM and amount of wattage the fan draws, putting it on a motherboard header might not be the best idea.

Y-adapters are handy for multiple fans if you are out of molex connectors from the PSU.

I have a Gigabyte board... I think GA-7VRXP. There is one connector on the board, its marked "SYS FAN" and I used it for the fan I already added at the rear of the computer, near the CPU. But the one that came with the Antec case is in front (I think its an intake fan) and it was connected using a larger four-pin connector. I'll head over to Radio Shack this evening to see if they have what you recommended.

Oh and one more thing, I am planning to use the fan in back as an exhaust, to get rid of the heat coming off the heatsink, and the fan in front as an intake to cool the drives... is that the correct way to do it?
