i want to mod the window on this case and was wondering whether or not there is a way to replace the window if i don't like the changes i made? i want to either add a fan to the window or just drill some holes in a design or a square or circle. my case temps are low but i think with some sort of air coming in over the motherboard/cpu would really bring them down. i replaced the adda fan but havent added anything else so far. mainly i just wanted to know if i would have to get a whole new side panel or could the window be replaced? thanx in advance guys.

Depends on how it's attached. If it has the "rivets" in there... well, then that's easy. Those aren't actual rivets, they are just plastic fasteners that can be undone. Before you accept what I have to say, make sure you can take it of... by actually taking it off.

The only other thing you may be concerned with is wheter or not the window is flush with the panel... as in, if you run your hand across the panel and window, is there a change in depth? This may mean that the window has a little bit of a bevel. Again, removing it and seeing will confirm this.

Or, if you do it and screw up, you could just buy a whole new panel with the window in there ;)

ness... thanx a bunch. yeah those rivets made me think it would have to be done by lian or i'd have to buy another panel so i will play around and see what happens. oh yeah, there is a change of depth b/w the window and the side panel so again i will look into this some more to see whats doable. if i can get it off then i will just start cuttin :)

thanx again m8.

just make sure you support the window really well when drilling and cutting. the window can crack fairly easy. i had to learn the hard way on my pc65 (man, your heart stops when you hear that loud crack!). then again, it was my first case modding attempt. :( if you need a replacement window/panel, mpcparts.com has them the cheapest. i added a blowhole, a 2nd rear exhaust, and was planning on 2 intakes on the window. i'm actually a little hesitant to cut the new panel i recently got....i'll try again this weekend though. good luck.

Guess with that in mind, it's a good time to mention that you should cover it in masking tape (even though it may gunk up the plexi [goo gone]) and GO SLOW when cutting. If you are slinging hot melted plexi everywhere as you cut, your wheel is spinning too fast. Plexi SHOULD NOT do this. Plastic on the other hand, usually does no matter what speed :-\
