Replacing a PSU possible in an OEM?

hello my friends. right now I have an eMachine T2899s (hahaha.... 🙁 ) and its got an open AGP 4x slot, but i'm afraid that this "bestec 300w" PSU would handle a card like the 6600GT (BFG version). now I was wondering if this computer uses any type of proprietary connectors (that an AM PSU wouldnt have) or if a new PSU will fit. the PSU kinda sits on these clips and there is no metal rail stretching across the PC. it does use 4 screws in the back though.

i was thinking something like an antec true 380 as that would easily power a card like the 6600GT. would it work?

The antec will work and probably will fit. Just make sure you dont have a mini unit. As long as you buy an intel psu for an intel system or amd for amd, youwill not run into a power connector issue. Take the pc apart and see what exactly is plugged in.
JMO, go for something @ around 450w. It will last you a good while from case to case.
