Replacing a motherboard

Here's a question I 'm wondering about:
What happens if my motherboard dies? I've lost hard drives (I have disk mirroring, so I know how to handle that). Ditto for the modem, video card, etc, I can just get and install new ones. But I've been thinking, if my motherboard or SCSI controller dies I'm SOL unless I get a new motherboard or controller just like the one that blew up? Or could I just install the controller and drives onto a new motherboard and have it work?

If I can't do this, does anyone have an idea how I'd go about getting a spare Iwill BD100 motherboard (the model is probably 2 years out of production).

(PS- Thanks to this site I've been running said computer 40% overclocked for two years, no problems!)

I'd say just get a new motherboard. It's not really necessary to have the exact same one. You can install all your other products on a new board so you really shouldn't have anything to worry about granted you're willing to stick the money into a new motherboard if that time comes.
