So my mb got fried so i bought a new one (different chipset, ECS AM2 to am ASRock AM2+). I would love to just plug everything into it, will this work? Or am I going to have to reinstall the OS?

Vista seems more forgiving than XP was. The first time you boot the system on the new hardware, boot into Safe Mode.

It was actually wine that Franklin was talking about, not beer.

ty... and I know 🙁 read that article recently, just havent had the heart to change it...

I did this on Windows 7 recently and I just booted right back up. The OS freaked at first, but after a couple minutes it sorted everything out without issue. I think you may also have to re-enter your cd-key license.
