My motherboard died (ECS - K7S5A).
I have an Adaptec RAID controller running (PCI slot 6), 4 discs as 2 RAID 0 arrays - no disc on mobo controller, only CD Drives.

If I replace the mobo, can I just put the old discs with RAID controller into the new mobo and it will start up?

Is there anything that needs setup on the new mobo? Where is that information (RAID) stored?

I think you'll just have to install the controller in the new board. The raid info is on the hard drives. Then install the motherboard drivers.
I did it with a non raid controller. When I booted into windows all the found new hardware windows popped up cause of the motherboard change.
