Can I replace the HeatSink Fan the came on my Thermaltake K8 Venus 7+, The fan is way too loud and doesnt really cool that well so I figured I could maybe replace it with a better fan..btw the way my cpu temps are 41c idol, and go to 56c after playing doom 3 for like 2 hours. Also if its too much trouble to replace the fan does anyone know any good socket 939 cpu coolers?

yes u can replace the fan, just find a fan the same size as the one on your heatsink. just make sure it pushes as much or more air than the one that is on your hsf now

If you want to completely replace the heatsink, then go for a Zalman CNPS7000A or one of the Thermalright coolers.

If the fan is ball bearing, what you can do is flip the little sticker in the middle of the fan and add a drop of motor oil then put the sticker back the way it was.

Another thing you can do is buy a fan controller to control your fan speed.

If you want quiet, MDE's recommendation for the Zalman CNPS-7000A is a good one.
