I am gona get the following keeping the rest the same:

the audigy, depends on what kind of speakers you are using, unless you are going for high end, 5.1 or better sound, audigy 1 is sufficient

What chipset is on that Soyo dragon board? if its an nforce2, save yourself some $ and just buy a barton 2500+ and o/c it :) and if it has soundstorm, its going to sound almost as good as an audigy anyway

that upgrade is not worthwhile IMO. just keep your rig.

BTW, barf @ the 256 meg video card.

the Soyo KT400 Dragon Platinum is a VIA KT400 chipset mobo.

The FSB is 333MHz, so make sure you get an Athlon XP 3000+ with a 333MHz FSB. As far as the Audigy2 goes, the advice about it depending on what type os speakers you have is solid advice. I have an Audigy1 and it sounds great with Logitech z-2200's.

It's a KT400 chipset :)

Why barf at the 256meg card? I have a 25% off coupon on any video card (yes video card only :( ) expires on the 25th so i can't wait!

Well, I think its a sizeable upgrade ! But I would get the 128 meg version of the video card.

Edit: I assume the Athlon 3000 is an Athlon64 3000+, othersize its not near as great of an upgrade, but you would need a new mobo.

its not worth the money to upgrade from a 2200 to a 3000.
