replacement program/software for "WORDLE.NET"

wpshooter

Golden Member
There seems to be a problem with getting "WORDLE.NET" to function correctly in certain instances on computers that are running IE8 (runs fine on computers running IE7).

Does anyone know of a Windows based software that would dependably perform the same functioning of the WORDLE.NET program when using IE8 ?

Thanks.

I assume you are talking about http://www.wordle.net. If so, it works just fine for me in IE8 and Firefox 3.6. If you are having issues with the site, I suggest using the discussion forums for the site (Forum link at the top of the web page).

May I ask if you are using XP, VISTA, or Windows 7 ?

P.S. - I did look on the forum and a question was asked in the middle of February regarding the problem and there has been zero responses.

Thanks.

I tried it originally on two XP Pro machines. I just tried it on a Vista Business computer and had no problem there either. I don't have any Windows 7 computers so I can't give you an answer on that one.

When seeking a replacement for a website or program, it is helpful to briefly describe that site or program so that people familiar with alternatives, but not the thing you're trying to replace, can help.

I tried it myself on windows 7 64bit with ie8 and the first thing that i noticed is that it run on java. maybe you might need to update java on the machines that it does not work on
