Replacement Northbridge fan

My northbridge on my IC7-G motherboard is clearly failing and while I could technically RMA it, I don't really want to because it may fail agian like it did before. So I'm wondering if I could replace it with a similar fan but possibly of better quality? I don't want a passive HS, and it don't think it can be very tall (IIRC it will interfere with my CPU cooler).

Get a big ass Aluminum Northbridge heatsink and Artic Silver epoxy it to the chipset, you would never have to worry about the fan dying ever again.

Edit: Maybe this will work. Zalman

Edit: Ignore me I missed he whole not to big not passive part. Although the zalman is copper and isn't very tall, you could if you really wanted to hook a fan up to it. I would at least give it a try. Well maybe not since you would have to epoxy it.
