I've finally gotten fed up with trying to make my GA-7VXRP run stable. I'd like to get a board that is very stable (overclocking not an issue), has onboard LAN and RAID, and runs the KT333 chipset. Here's my current setup:

Gigabyte GA-7VRXP Ver 1.1 (lastest BIOS)
Athlon XP 2200+ w/approved fan/heat sink
512 MB Corsair PC2700 DDR
Enermax 431W PS
3D Prophet DDR GeForce
Santa Cruz Turtle Beach 5.1
Windows 2000 Professional SP3

I'm sending the mobo back, but does anyone have a suggestion for a stable board?

Do you need KT333 chipset? It is a bit pointless running a KT333 mobo without overclocking. Their is almost no difference between stock 266a and stock 333 (with or without pc2700). If you are not going to overclock, then just get a kt266a chipset.

i would get the epox 8k5a2 (kt333 chipset) it has usb 2.0, it also supports 166mhz fsb (very strong rumors that the athlon will increase from the current 133mhz fsb to the 166mhz fsb)

very fast/stable board

Is there any stability difference between the 8k5a2 and the 8k5a2+ ? Onboard LAN would really make my life easier....

they are both just as high quality of products

Epox 8k5a2+ would be a nice choice if you like all features in Ga-7vrxp mobo.
Or, if you want to stick with gigabyte, try ga-7vrxp rev 2.0 (a lot of people are saying that this one is the best.. i'm not really sure since i already had a" small problem" with 1.1 version.. kind of paranoid i guess ... :>).

Well, this has become a moot point, as the OEM I bought from will no longer accept returns. They say they'll replace my board, which I will gladly do if I get a Rev 2.0 board. Otherwise, they will have hell to pay!!!
