My main system is dead. I came home from work the other day and it didn't move or make any sounds. I thought it was the power supply and went out and purchased a new case (Antec KS-282). After swapping everything over...same situation...nothing happens, no case fan spinning...nothing. Well, what next? Reset the CMOS...still dead. I guess I could buzz the power connector on the new case, but it's more likely that another problems exists. I figure the next candidates are mobo, cpu and memory and think that the mobo (ABIT BX6) may be the cheapest to replace. I'm using a Pentium III 700Mhz processor with 256 MB memory (60 ns, I think - marked as 48LC16MA2-8E, two sticks, 168 pin). The mobo uses the 440BX chipset and supports (4) SDRAM modules. Can I salvage anything from this? Or should I cough up a little more cash and upgrade everything? I will use this system as a LAN server type since I'm in the process of building a new P4 2 Ghz system (with all new components) also.
