Hi there,
Long time browser of the Anandtech Forums but 1st time poster!
I have (had) a HP DV6 Pavilion laptop 15.7" i5 processor with 750GB. Its finally kicked the bucket (spilled drink over it, long story). It's now beyond repair. I bought it 5 years ago and by the time it croked the fans whirred so loud I thought it was about to take off! However, it was a really solid laptop made of chrome.
I've had two HP laptops so far and I occasionally use it for the odd game of Age of Empires III so a CD rom would be nice ha. Any suggestions of a solid build laptop for $600 approx as a replacement, not necessarily HP?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated by this novice!
