I gots EVGA GT240 w/GDDR5 about 2.5 years ago with a killer rebate deal (it was like $45.00 after rebate). Cooling fan is dead, warranty was only two years and its one of those non-standard fans that have straight fins, rather than the angled blades.

I'd like to salvage it, affordably. Anyone recommend where I could get replacement fan or, if need be, a decently affordable replacement heat sink + fan kit? Been years since I bought a replacement cooling fan or kit for GPU.

Unscrew the heat sink and...

..easy as pie.
Just DO NOT undoe the gpu chip. :)

Remember to re-apply the heat paste.

Btw even tho its a cheat chip remember you will retain all your customer rights with evga even tho you replace the heatsink, but only that.
Great company and no not an employee.

Arctic Cooling's Accelero L2 Plus is $20, and claims GT 240 compatibility, if you want to replace the whole assembly.
