I am looking for some input on where, on the internet, I can find a place to buy a replacement graphics card for my older Dell Inspirion laptop. As it turns out not cleaning the fan intake can cause your card to overheat and fry itself. Who would have thought, right? It's a little over five or so years old now, but I don't see why I wouldn't, or shouldn't, be able to get it up and running again. I can't post any exact details about it right now as I am away from it. Any help.

There is very little chance you will be able to fix the GPU itself on that laptop as the GPU is typically physically mounted to the mother board. There are very few laptops that allow replacement of the GPU.

Your best bet is to look at a complete replacement motherboard.

No consumer Dell machines use MXM and are likely either soldered in (new expensive motherboard) or use a proprietary interface (read: cards are expensive and rare).
