I'm Looking for the best graphics card I can get at a "Deal" price that I can pick up locally for ~$100.

I've gotta replace what I currently have, a 256MB gen-6 nvidia PCIe

suggestions?

I am not familier with what retail stores you have locally, but if you are willing to order over the Web, I would recommend the 7600GT. Newegg has two listed at this prices after MIR and before shipping. Or, you could check the For Sale/Trade forums here. If you must pick up a card locally, then get ready for a very limit selection of cards (and slower too).

I doubt you could pick up anything locally for under $100 that would be better than your 256mb 6-series.

If you have a Microcenter in your Area they were running a special on EVGA 7600GT's for 99 and change recently after rebate

I agree the 7600gt is faster but really in my eyes not a real upgrade. If I had a 6800 series card I'd save an extra few bucks and get a 7900gs or higher.
