Replacement for System Tray?

So I decided to try out Object as a Taskbar replacementon my XP machine. So far everything is OK, but there are a few thing I miss by not having my system tray. I know that the non-free version of ObjectDock says it gives you access to your tray icons, but I'd like to stick with free.

So, I guess what I'm wondering is if there is some desktop app/widget that mimics the system tray?

It's the notification area, not the system tray. So if you're looking for a free app to catch those windows/icons you might want to start with the right terminology. =)

But while true, since a great many shell developers, and even MS devs refer to it as the SysTray, I've much more fruitful searching with that term. 😉
