Looks like my Soyo 6VBA133 may be dead. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued. Can anyone give me any suggestions for a good replacement?

It needs to be:
Slot 1
Support 133FSB
Have ISA slots
ATA100 cool but not essential
Support PIII Coppermine to speeds over 700mhz
Easily overclockable with numerous FSB settings
1/4 PCI
1/3 AGP
Not going to break the bank as I intend to upgrade the whole system next spring (probably to an AMD rig).

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

You just elimainated every existing motherboard on any chipset with that qualification, perhaps you meant 1/2 AGP divider?

I've heard good things about Asus' P3V4X, it has 1 ISA slot, 6 PCI, it uses VIA 133A so 133fsb support, and got a decent fsb settings, yes it supports Slot 1 Coppermine's, 1/4 PCI yes, and AGP 1/2 yes. Sounds like a good replacement. And Anand reviewed it a while back, he gave it a 8.5/10 rating. It is found on Pricewatch for $139 it is kinda priced high but, it sounds like exactly what you're looking for if a bit expensive. You might look at Anand's 133A roundup a while back, you can look at it here

Great, thanks. $140 is a bit pricey, but then again the 6VBA was $60 when I bought it.

And naturally I meant 1/2 AGP. :)

al kader,
I checked the site. Looks like the SL-67EV1 is a good match, however I can't find it on PriceWatch. Only found 2 Soltek mobos at all. Do you have any idea who sells them and what pricing is like?

I vote for the Soyo SY-7VCA... cheaper then the P3V4X, slightly faster, and the newer versions of the P3V4X use a different clock generator and don't have nearly as many FSB options, whereas the SY-7VCA has as many FSB selctions as the original P3V4X and also has more tweaking options in the BIOS.

The 6VCA is exactly the same board, except with Slot1 instead.
