I'm looking for a motherboard that's somewhat cheap because the rest of my system is somewhat outdated, but value would still be nice.

ram: PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
processor: AMD Athlon X4 635
video card: nVidia GeForce 9600 GSO (pci-E)
hard drive: Corsair Force Series GT (sata 3)

Any recommendations?

I guess the main thing is just to find a motherboard that can use the ram and processor, right?

Why do you want to get a new motherboard? Is it no longer functional?

Yes, otherwise I wouldn't get a new one. I'm pretty sure it isn't functional anyway. It starts to boot windows but doesn't finish. The fan turns on but then turns off. I get the same error as the guy in this review of the same motherboard. http://www.amazon.com/HP-M2n68--Narr...words=M2N68-LA

I'm getting this error when trying to run startup repair:

Error: StartRep.exe
The instruction at 0xfb348d10 reference memory at 0x0370a33a memory could not be read

Maybe I need to flash the BIOS or something?

Since you need a MicroATX board to fit in your HP case, i'd go with this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128504

GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P AM3+ AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

$56.99 w/free shipping. And you have a little upgrade path, cpu can be upgraded to an FX 6300 six-core cpu and 16GB kit of ram.

P.S...Yes those HP Pegatron motherboards are garbage. They have a very high failure rate.
