Replacement feet for mice?? What's the best??

I love my logitech MX300 mouse, but the feet are wearing off from my Ratpad, and i don't wanna buy a new mouse everytime that happens. I can get some from logitech, but these ones looked interesting and are very cheap:

Slicksurf

I like the idea of them getting slicker as you use it. Anyone here used these that can comment on them?? Or if they have any ideas of something better! 🙂

thanks!!

For the price, teflon tape will give you a lot of replacement feet. If under heavy use, you will find yourself replacing it often though... like every couple months. Makes me wonder if Ratpads are worth it because they wear out too.

I've used the slicksurf mouse feet and they work great.

i've been using them for over 9 months and they show no signs of wearing out.

just as fast as teflon and they last nearly forever.

hmmm......slickdude uses slicksurf ....... and joins now just in time to reply to your question....... what a coincidence eh? and what a surprise - he loves them, they work great and last forever.....

LOL, of course slickdude loves them, he is the owner of slicksurf.com after all 😉

I've seen him post this same response on other forums. Anyone with a less-subjective opinion??

thanks anyways though slickdude, still thinkin of buying some.

Well, The owner huh?

I though it was just someone on their payrol.

Anyways, I think this sort of activity only gives companies a bad name and turns people off. If on the other hand this "slick" person were to identify himself as an employee of (or indeed owner in this case) a certain company and answer questions \ provide info or insights, in an orderly fashion, I would be quite impressed with this company for making the effort to be in touch with it's potential customers...........

Being "covert" is just needless, harmful, and stupid.

As a user of the SlickSurf mouse feet, i highly recommend them. They really do perform as advertised. They are cheap, arrive fast, and are great. I'm a competitive player in Desert Combat and these improved my game. They actually do get better the more you use them. I was a little skeptical too at first, but thought, what the hell. They don't cost as much (less than the XTrac teflon tape) and it's worth a shot. Got them put them on and was amazed.

My mouse now glides smoothly, with just a slick feeling. (I use a XTrac plastic top mouse pad, but might switch).

They are a great product. I recommend them to anyone tired of paying more for tape that you have to replace every few days or so.

Also, here's a tip for the Logitech MX Wired mice (might work on others). When you peel the old feet off, you'll notice that there is a slight ridge wround the edge of the feet area. Make sure to clean them off so no residue or fingerprints are left.
At this point if you put them on and don't get them on prefect, the edges will be on the raised portion and not preform as well. What i found was, if you take a simple fingernail file and sand them off (only takes a minute to do all) till the whole foot area is smooth, then put the feet on, they will be prefectly flat.

In short, you won't be disappointed with your purchase of these.

.....*sigh*....... mcgrawbobby, you aren't just a user, you're also the same person as slickdude! Nice try, but i've seen almost the identical post as yours following slickdude's on other forums.

Not that i care, i just wanna know if anyone has an "unbiased" opinion 😉

hehe. this is too funny. anyway, if you make a good product, people will come.

that being said, i purchased the slicksurf on monday and they arrived thursday. which was perfect as my new mx1000 arrived at the same time.

the b/g is that my intellimouse was starting to die on me. i have never tried a cordless mouse before, so i was skeptical anyway. so, in effect, this is also a slight rave for the mx1000 as well. i booted up ut2k4 and had NO trouble fragging like mad. no lag. no pick up and set down delay. nothing. just perfect.

i don't use a mousepad. i have the mouse on my bare dark wooden desk. it slid around decently, but not great. i added the slicksurf to the bottom feet and it slides much more smoothly now.

since i've only had it on there going on 15 hours now, i can't make any claims about how great they are. but i did notice an immediate effect and will continue to monitor the performance of the feet as time passes.

was i supposed to just stick these feet on top of the normal mouse feet? thats what i did. seems to be fine.

i have used these they are freaking awsome. They are exactly what my Intellimouse Explorer needed. I play lots of FPS games mainly Novalogic Titles and I must say not only does my mouse move more smoothly it actually made my mouse track better since ive put these on.

No, i am not SlickDude. Just found this post searching for mouse feet questions. Just thought i'd write and say that i liked them. That doesn't mean i didn't post on another forum about them too. Just trying to let people know that they do work as advertised. And no, if i didn't like them, i would sure as hell tell you. If you don't want to try them, then don't complain when others say they are good.

And to the one who asked if you put them on over the original feet. I tried that with my MX310 and got some minor skipping. Seemed to be just at the point at which it picks up movement. I just too the feet off and cleaned the old adhesive off and put the new ones in place of them. Haven't had a problem.

exactly. I'm just trying to spread the word. I've told others on our TS server about them too. How else are people gonna find out about them? If you like them, post it on the net on forums and tell people.
