Replacement Fan for Lite-On PS?

I'm using one of the famous Lite-On server power supplies from the Directron deal in my 8RDA+ system, and it's been a great deal. Specs are dead on, and this rig runs SETI 24/7 for Team Anandtech. It even looks spiffy, as it's painted black metalflake with red sleeving!

Unfortunately, it's also the loudest thing in my Compucase LX-6A19! I know, it's a server PS, not really designed for quiet operation....

I'd like to replace the stock Nidec fan, and I've got a selection on hand to choose from. I've got Panaflo L1A's, H1A's, and also a Vantec Stealth 80MM sitting here to use. This PS does have a temp sensor for the fan built in, which could be part of the noise issue, as it rests on huge heat sink!

Should I just try moving the sensor, or replace the fan? If I replace it, would the Stealth or L1A be sufficient for airflow? I just haven't an idea if 24CFM or less would be enough. This system needs to be quiet, but it's also usually OC'd to 2.2GHz @1.8V (1700B downclocked to 2.1GHz @1.7V for the summer), so it's not exactly loafing around!

If it were me, I'd replace it with the Panaflo L1A  They have good "suction" for their airflow and run nice and quiet, as you know. HTH :)

Yeah, I thought of that, Mech. If it starts running too hot, I can always yank it back out and swap for an H1A! Thanks!
